Our Story

Gabrielle Krage and Polly Hitchcock Sage met at a wreath making class when they were both eight years old. They became best friends, traveled the world together and have continued to enjoy gardening and floristry for over twenty years. During their teenage years, they became professional landscape gardeners. Gabrielle, alongside her husband, now owns a full-service landscape and garden design and maintenance business, Kew LLC: the parent company of Kew Floristry.

Gabby and Polly decided to take their interest in plants to a new level in 2002. They went to England to learn garden style floristry at the prestigious Constance Spry Flower School, which is sadly no longer in operation. They began a small flower business, Flowers of the Field, in 2002 and then went on to other adventures. Flowers were on the back burner for a bit, but they always helped out with friends and families’ weddings and events, as well as occasional paying customers.

In the past few years Gabby and Polly decided to renew their floral business and have been serving many brides and participating in special events in the Cleveland, Ohio area. Kew Floristry remains dedicated to its core interests: incorporating and appreciating the beauty of natural, local materials and the importance of ensuring that each event’s flowers are better than our clients could have imagined. If you are interested in custom tailored garden style floristry for your event, we will be a great match!
